About Dan
For nearly 30 years, I have helped students strengthen their mathematical understanding through personalized one-on-one tutoring.
I work with students from middle school mathematics through Calculus, with particular expertise in SAT Math, GED Math, GRE Math, and Praxis Core Math.
My goal is not simply to help students improve their grades or test scores, but to help them become confident, independent problem solvers through patient instruction and a personalized learning plan designed around their individual needs.

My Teaching Philosophy
Every student learns differently.
Some students need additional structure. Others need greater challenge. Some have learning differences such as ADHD, ASD, dyscalculia, or learning disabilities, while others are gifted students preparing for highly competitive examinations.
My approach is always the same: identify the student’s strengths and weaknesses, develop a personalized learning plan, continually monitor progress, and adjust instruction as the student’s understanding grows.
Technology-Enhanced Instruction
Technology also plays an important role in my instruction. I use AI to create organized lesson summaries, personalized study guides, homework assignments based on lesson performance, and progress reports that help students and parents stay informed.
Outside the Classroom
In addition to mathematics, I have a lifelong interest in science, education, and writing. My academic background includes a Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland, where I designed and completed an undergraduate research project in atmospheric science.
These experiences continue to influence my analytical approach to teaching and problem solving.
